SubhanAllah, it is almost the end of the year 2012 and we are still alive. Praise to Allah for giving us such opportunity to breath the air and see the world changing from time to time. Doesn't it feels as if it was just in a blink of eye and now we had grown older than we ever realise? Yea, that's what I feel right now. Without me realising, I had grown more mature each day, knowing my vision in life, gaining experiences and learning from them. Sorrows and happiness, those are all obstacles in life. Tests that Allah, Ya Rabb prepared for us. We don't know how we would end up at last but our destination is either Jannah or An-nar. I believe, each of us would wish to be better than yesterday but did we put effort into it? Astaghfirullahalazim, thinking about this makes me feel so sad. I write this and that in hope that I can improve myself but I ,myself often let myself forget. Is this all I can do? Is this the only effort I had done?
So, since the year 2013 is coming, I prepared myself a list on what I would like to achieve by the year. Yay! Can I get myself a great applause, please? Hehehe. Pardon me my dear. I hope all of us promise to ourselves to turn over a new leaf! Fresh and green, I say! So, what's my aim for the year eh?
To be a great muslimah or you can say 'solehah'! In syaa Allah. Well, a muslimah requires all the 'mahmudah' habits isn't it? So, that would be enough then!! Hehe. Remember Hanin, a muslimah is not only what people see from the way you dress , but also from the way you act, you think and you practise it in life.
I just would like to know what your brand of Islam is, because from what you write, and the music you play on the website, it seems very compelling. I am not meaning this to say that I think most Islam is not humane or appealing, I am a student of history and understand the deep strength and humaneness of Islam. I just am curious about the place that you are coming from. I myself am raised in "mainstream" Christianity, and seek to simply do God's will every day, whatever that may mean, and I do not think that people of Islam, Judaism, etc. or going to hell. That is a ridiculous viewpoint.
